LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Crews were out early Sunday working to restore power on the north side of Lexington after a KU transformer malfunction.
A KU spokesperson says about 1,400 customers were without power. He says an animal was responsible for the malfunction.
The outage ran south to north from Newtown Pike and Fourth Street out to Newtown Pike and Interstate 64.
From east to west, the outage stretched from New Circle Road and Boardwalk to New Circle and North Limestone.
Lexington police reported that power had been fully restored by 1:30 p.m.
