EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – East Palestine schools are closed Monday due to a power outage.
First Energy says that a raccoon is to blame for leaving just over 2,000 customers in the dark around 5 a.m.
Power was restored around 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Schools will remain closed Monday, but classes will resume Tuesday.
