Roughly 1,500 members of the Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association in southwest Fort Collins and the surround area were left without power for several hours late Tuesday, the utility cooperative reported. An outage map on the PVREA website showed the heaviest volume of outages surrounding the Pineridge Natural Area, with affected consumers ranging east at Lemay Avenue to west of Horsetooth Reservoir and from north at Prospect Road south to Colorado Highway 392. According to a post from the Poudre Valley REA Facebook page, a feeder out of its substation in Trilby had been lost and crews were on site at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday "patrolling the line and trying to find the cause so they can make repairs." The cooperative posted to the page about midnight saying that power had been restored to the affected areas, which had been out since at lest 8:45 p.m.
