A vehicle crashed into a high-voltage power line Tuesday afternoon in east Ventura, causing a power outage and the shutdown of train tracks in the area.
The downed line was reported at 3:25 p.m. near Bristol Road and Ermine Avenue.

One male occupant in the vehicle suffered unknown injuries and was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
About 4,167 customers lost power as a result of the knocked-over power line, according to Southern California Edison. Power was expected to be restored to the area by 4:23 p.m.
Union Pacific Railroad was asked to stop freight train traffic because the tracks were near the high-voltage lines, according to authorities.
