SANTA ANA – Power was restored to some 1,620 Southern California Edison customers who were left without it Monday, officials said.
The outage, which started at 11:33 a.m., was not attributed to heat and use of utilities overwhelming the system, but a metallic balloon that touched a power line, said Edison spokesman Paul Netter.
Power was restored to all but 16 customers within an hour. The agency initially reported that 1,260 customers were without power.
