About 75,000 Auckland residents will be in line for a compensation payout over a major power outage that lasted several days in October 2014.
The outage was caused by a fire at Penrose substation.
An inquiry released on Thursday found the fire was sparked by an electrical failure in a cable joint.
As a result of the findings, lines company Vector apologised to customers and offered a service level payment.
This would cover $50 for residential customers and $200 for affected businesses.
