The Expansion plan of the Hydro Power Plants

§        The EEHC and the Hydro Power Plants Executive Authority are coordinating the planning, the preparation of the feasibility study and the following- up, and      the execution of the Hydro- Plants.

§        In 1985, the Hydro Power plant of Aswan 2, with installed capacity of 4x67.5M.W constructed.

§        In 1994 the Hydro Power plant of Esna Barrage with installed capacity of 6x14.5M.W has been constructed.

§        In 1997, the Hydro Power plant of Naga Hamadi which had a small capacity of 3x1.5M.W was rehabilitated. The station was constructed in 1942 and worked until 1971. The new plant had costed 35 million Egyptian pounds.

§        In April 2003, a Hydro Power plant was constructed in El-lahoun/ Fayoum. The plant is consists of two units with a capacity of 800K.W.
